How it works
From first visit to licence in hand
The path to a car licence, in five steps. We guide you through each one.
Documents to bring
- A medical certificate less than 3 months old
- A recent passport photo (45 × 35 mm)
- A copy of your ID
- A copy of both sides of your licence, if you already have one
- If you’re under 18: a parent’s signature and a copy of their ID card

Sign up at the office
Come to one of our three offices with your documents. We open your file on the spot.

12 hours of theory
Evening classes in French, English or Luxembourgish, at the office of your choice.

Theory exam
At the SNCA in Sandweiler, Diekirch or Esch-sur-Alzette, in a choice of five languages.
- 04
16 driving lessons
That’s the legal minimum. We only add lessons if you need them.
- 05
Driving test
You take it in the school’s car. Once you pass, the licence is yours.
